Fun in the Sun at the Caiman Consulting Annual Meeting
Caiman employees and shareholders descended on Hawaii this month for the Caiman Consulting Annual Meeting, held from October 13th-16th at the Kauai Sheraton resort, and enjoyed themselves by looking at financial numbers and relaxing by the pool and beach.
The Annual Meeting is held every year (hence the name) in order to give us a chance to get away from our day-to-day work and focus on reviewing the past year and setting goals for the year ahead. It’s also a reward for our employees’ hard work and dedication, and a chance for employees and shareholders to spend time together and build team unity.
On Friday we started the day with breakfast and then headed into the meeting itself, where we took turns presenting slides and discussing the past, present, and future of Caiman Consulting. Highlights included a presentation by James O’Donnell on our recent forays into eBay and an introduction to Chad Fischer, our new executive hire. Matt Smith presented our new company website and Tim Crockett provided comic relief slides. Greg and Raazi led a discussion of our predictions and goals for next year and we left the meeting feeling very optimistic about where our company is now and where it is heading.
After the meeting it was fun time – we relaxed by the pool and the ocean before enjoying a group dinner at the beautiful Plantation Gardens restaurant. Of particular note were the gourmet ice cream sandwiches with chocolate dipping sauce that were provided for dessert.
The next day we boarded a chartered boat and took a tour of the beautiful Na Pali Coast. Highlights included a scuba/snorkel stop on a sea turtle breeding ground, and sailing through a school of spinner dolphins that gave us a show as good as any you could see at Sea World. Rough seas gave us an epidemic of sea sickness but despite that, a good time was had by all.
We returned from the trip energized and looking forward to another great year at Caiman! Thanks to Meg Clara for leading up the committee to plan and organize the annual trip.
