Marci Marra is a Caiman Partner with more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry. Before joining Caiman, she was a Sr. Delivery Director at iSoftStone with a focus on strategy and planning, change management and readiness. Prior to that, Marci worked at Microsoft for fourteen years in both an employee and consulting capacity. In addition to her years spent at Microsoft, she has provided consultative services to Pacific Northwest companies building PMOs, learning practices, and supporting mergers and acquisitions. Prior to consulting, Marci was the IT Training Manager at Group Health Cooperative where she founded the IT training team and defined the training and readiness standards for the cooperative.
Marci is a Pacific Northwest native, who learned to surf at Westport, and an “early adopter” snowboarder who had to walk up the mountain because snowboarders weren’t allowed on the lifts. Back then she was sometimes seen surfing on boards she designed and painted, and wearing board shorts from her clothing line of surf gear. She hand painted the first Gnu Snowboard, which was made in a friend’s garage, nearly thirty years ago. These days she spends her time making jewelry, creating large steel and glass sculptures, painting textiles, and sewing said textiles. Marci also enjoys spending time with her husband running half marathons, hiking Tiger Mountain, and walking their two rescued Terriers. Our guess is that she doesn’t own a couch.
