Our Founding

In 2004, while working at a Big 5 consulting firm, Greg and Raazi (our founders) recognized that management consulting had become a top-heavy and change-resistant industry that was in need of transformation. The industry was filled with big, slow-moving firms burdened with top-down, time-based cultures. These firms aimed to solve problems by applying “proven” methodologies the same way every time and by staffing with large and expensive teams of generalists. These firms were process- and profit-driven, not employee-driven and client-focused. And, they weren’t innovative in a world being disrupted by technology.

As Greg and Raazi scanned the market and looked ahead, they had an insight: despite having the help of the Big 5, most companies struggled to navigate these rapidly shifting waters of technology-driven transformation. The bottom-line: the traditional consulting services model could not support the change. It was designed to meet the needs of the Partners of these consulting companies, not their employees nor their clients. It was built around big fancy offices and large expense accounts. It wasn’t designed for the future of work.

Taking cues from the future and learning from the past, Greg and Raazi decided that there had to be a better, more innovative way to do things. They challenged themselves to design a modern consulting operating model. They wanted to build an innovative culture. They wanted strong employee engagement. They wanted to invest in their employee’s experiences. And, they wanted to deliver exceptional client value.

They developed a diverse and thriving culture filled with well-informed expert advisors, entrepreneurial thinkers, and structured doers from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives. They focused on employee enjoyment, opportunity, and results. They valued the power of caring and giving back to our local communities. They practiced collaboration and teamwork in partnership with clients. They built Caiman Consulting. And ever since then, our founders have remained leaders while continuing to help clients successfully navigate disruption, build enterprise capabilities, and transform their business.
